James L. Salmon is the Founder and President of Collaborative Construction Resources, LLC. James is a certified mediator and licensed attorney with 15 years of experience. As a trial attorney, he has litigated, settled and mediated hundreds of cases involving a wide range of issues. He earned his B.A. from Texas Tech University and his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati. After serving as a law clerk to Justice William A. Taylor on the Wyoming Supreme Court in Cheyenne, Wyoming he practiced law for five years with Lonabaugh & Riggs in Sheridan, Wyoming. James and his wife returned to Cincinnati in 2000 to raise their family, and James joined Ulmer & Berne, LLP.
James has completed the 40 hour mediation training course offered through the Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts, becoming a Certified Mediator in Kentucky, and has attended and made presentations at seminars focused on alternative dispute resolution in Kentucky, Ohio and other jurisdictions. He is a member of the Construction Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections of the American Bar Association and a member of similar committees of the Ohio, Kentucky and Cincinnati Bar Associations. His experience as a mediator and a successful trial attorney enable him to assist parties involved in disputes to focus on practical settlement options. James has written and lectured on preventive law and is a long term advocate of mediation and collaboration.
James is supported by his wife Sarah and their five children who have, for almost 20 years, provided him with innumerable opportunities to collaborate, mediate and resolve disputes!
